Hello ifeminists:

       Give yourself a treat and check out the new
ifeminist-of-the-month Claire Joly, with her grinning visage.
<http://www.ifeminists.com/> But don't be fooled by her cherub face
or Quebecois background -- the lady believes in hard-core
self-defense, Second Amendment style.

       October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and my
FOXNews/ifeminists editorial is entitled "Restorative Justice' Offers
Battered Women More Options"
<http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2002/1001.html>;
the freshly posted editorial by Glenn Sacks and Dianna Thompson is
entitled, "Michigan Reform Plan Fights Rising Paternity Fraud"
<http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2002/1001a.html>.
Enjoy!

       I am going on a much required two-week vacation from work
pressures and leaving the InsiderUpdate for that period in the steady
hands of Jerome Tuccille -- aka "Tooch." My FOX/ifeminists columns
for the period have been filed in advance with my editor and are
poised for posting on IFC so y'all will hardly notice my absence.

        Now ... onto the main event...
