We must let boys explore their feminine side
----------
Independent
by Natasha Walter
"It's tragic for society, which would reach greater
equality and stability if men could be allowed to take
up traditional feminine traits. And it's also miserable
for our children, if we insist on seeing them as boys
and girls first, and individuals second." (09/19/02)

Let's get it on
----------
Guardian
by Jacques Peretti
"Sex may have begun in 1963, but on television, we are
still awaiting consummation. .... This is because when
we see sex in TV drama, what we're actually seeing is a
choreographed sequence of approved positions, as arcane
and stilted as naval semaphore, following instructions
laid down in a little green BBC rulebook from 1948."

By November, the federal government will redefine a fetus

of the political motives underlying the "concern for
    unborn children." (10/01/02)

Government ruins Ms. Perfect's life

Big Brother dating service
----------
Independent Women's Forum
by staff
"While you may be chuckling at the idea of government
dating tips, we wonder how smart is it to encourage
sexual activity in an AIDS-riddled third-world nation
with limited access to STD prevention materials."

Boys are now gender-gap concern

Seattle Times
by Linda Shaw

Women want more 'Greek Wedding' films
----------
Womens ENews
by Carol Head
"'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' is a leader in an important
audience niche: women's fantasy films. Plain girl grabs
gorgeous guy ... Men's fantasy films of 'regular guys'
attaining their desires are commonplace, and 'My Big Fat
Greek Wedding' very simply turns gender on its head."

A handgun is a girl's best friend
----------
Pittsburgh Tribune Review
by Dimitri Vassilaros
"[A] woman who can defend herself is less likely to become
a victim. Monsters who prey on women probably believe
their victims cannot harm them. But what if the
potential victims could? Or at least, what if the
    monsters thought they could?" (10/03/02)
