Hello ifeminists:
Autumn has arrived in a particularly chilly manner this year,
and I think it is going to be a long, deep winter. We've stacked
cords and cords of firewood out back and I am loading up the pantry.
It is not just the weather that makes me feel like "nesting": it is
the surounding politics and economy as well. I hope you and your
families are all safe and warm.
The new editorials are up and running: My FOX/ifeminist piece
entitled, "The US Should Stay Out of UNESCO"
<http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2002/0924.html>:
and "Shared Custody Could Prevent Abductions" by Glenn Sacks and
Dianna Thompson
<http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2002/0924a.html>.
Enjoy!
Last Sunday's chat room on the apparent sabotage of the New
Hampshire Commission on the Status of Men by Governor Shaheen was
particularly interesting. Rep. David A. Bickford (R) dropped by to
join in the strategy session on how to save the Commission, which
receives no tax funds, from being dominated by anti-male voices. This
coming Sunday, we'll be reporting on the meeting tomorrow which may
decide the Commission's fate. 9:00 p.m. EST. The chat is free and all
are welcome.
Now ... onto the main event ...
