Hello ifeminists:

I am pleased to introduce Dyanne Petersen <http://www.ifeminists.com>
our ifeminist-of-the-month for September and a long-time activist for
personal freedom. Some of you may remember Dyanne. Two years ago, I asked
list-members to write to Dyanne during her imprisonment on a victimless
crime. I'm pleased to report that Dyanne has been back with us, where she
belongs, for some while now and she is working as a manager at Laissez-Faire
Books.

The new editorials have been posted. My FOXNews/ifeminist column
entitled "Calm Down Hootie!"
<http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2002/0903.html>; "When
Separate can be Equal -- and Better" by Tresa McBee
<http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2002/0903a.html>; "The
Four Fatal Flaws of CEDAW" by Ed Bartlett
<http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2002/0903b.html>; and,
"O, Mother, Mother" by Sunni Maravillosa
<http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2002/0903c.html>. thanks
to all the contributors. And enjoy!

For SF fans on the list, a fun discussion is taking place on the main
Bulletin Board about ... well, it is difficult to describe. Multiculturalism
is as good a description as any ;-).
.html> Drop in and chat ... or lurk -- your choice.

Now that July and August are memories, I am revving up the Sunday night
chat room again. Nothing is scheduled for this week, but on September 15th
at 9:00 p.m. EST, we'll be back chatting up a storm. I'll announce the
details next week.

Oh, and remember, September is Prostate Cancer Awareness month.

Now ... onto the main event...

                             -- Wendy McElroy, mac@ifeminists.com
