Hello ifeminists:
I hope you all had a kicked-back Labor Day. It is now September and
time for me to get serious about ifeminists.com. Yes, yes ... I have been
toying with you up until now. For the next few months I will be cranking up
my involvement in the site so feel free to send in suggestions and feedback.
The ifeminist for this month is a long-time friend of mine -- I
daren't say "old" ;-) -- Linda Rader with whom I played in the halls of
libertarianism during our intellectual childhoods. Linda is a frequent
poster to the BB
<http://www.ifeminists.com/interaction/forum/feminism0109/index.html> and
our resident expert on reproductive cloning. The editorial for this week is
a celebration of homeschooling and of the moms who are in the forefront of
what has become a quiet, grassroots revolution. <http://www.ifeminists.com/>
For those who like humor with a bit of an edge, I recommend The
Misanthropic Bitch <http://bitch.shutdown.com/> which ranges from mild
offense to outright hilarity. A woman with a bad attitude. If only I could
remember who she reminds me of ...
Now, onto the main event!

Fanny Hill -- free online
----------
by John Cleland
Also known as "Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure," this classic
(1794) has been frequently suppressed. The story of a
prostitute is known both for its frank sexual
descriptions and its fine parody of contemporary
literature such as Daniel Defoe's Moll Flanders. The
U.S Supreme Court finally cleared it from obscenity
charges in 1966.
