Anarchist Theory FAQ
The Anarchist Theory FAQ Version 4.2 is a useful and fairly complete survey of the origins and variations of anarchist politics and philosophy. Its emphasis is on the capitalist variant; elsewhere on the web there are competing FAQs dedicated to the oxymoronic concept of "socialist anarchism." For further discussion of the concepts discussed in the FAQ, I recommend alt.society.anarchy or alt.anarchism.

Militia Watchdog and
misc.activism.militia
Militia Watchdog is maintained by Dr. Mark Pitcavage. It includes an extensive FAQ dedicated to debunking what Dr. Pitcavage considers to be misinterpretations and misapplications of the Constitution, as used by the militia movement to justify its existence. While I disagree with many of his conclusions, Pitcavage has obviously done a great deal of research on the subject -- a book, Armies of Darkness is also in the works.
While I normally feel no need to seek "balance" in my selection of sites for this feature, I feel the need to make an exception in this case. I have been unsuccessful in my search for a pro-militia site that incorporates a well-documented FAQ on the subject. Therefore, I recommend that you fire up the ol' newsreader and check out Usenet's misc.activism.militia. The newsgroup is rife with debate on all subjects pertaining to the militia and patriot movements, and Pitcavage is a prominent participant.

The Underground Review
The Underground Review isn't an easy publication to pigeonhole. It's not exactly libertarian, nor is it quite conservative. Much of its material caters to the "patriot" movement, but it would be wrong to dismiss the online magazine for that reason. The articles are thoughtful and well-presented. This month's feature details (with a historicity that is debatable, but worth consideration) three of the major events in the creation of 20th-century America: The 16th and 17th Amendments to the Constitution (covering income taxes and the direct election of Senators), and the Federal Reserve Act.

The Irish Republican
Web Committee
No, not that kind of Republican. The Republican movement in Ireland tends toward socialism--hey, maybe they are the same! Seriously, though: the American media coverage of Sinn Fein, the IRA, and other elements of the struggle for a united Ireland alternates between maudlin romanticization and spoon-feeding of the English line of disinformation. If you're after the other side of the story, The IRWC maintains links to everything Irish and Republican online. I was unable to find anything Irish and libertarian (at least as libertarianism is understood in North America) on the web. That's what needs to be fixed. There will be no peace in Ireland as long as the choice is one of British collectivism versus Irish collectivism.

An amazingly diverse home page! Ken's site is replete with links to resources that I've never been able to find before, such as the Republic of Texas Page, L. Also included are extensive listings of philosophical and historical documents, as well as current news periodicals and links for gun collectors. A must-see!
