Hello ifeminists:

According to the Canadian Weather Bureau, it is Springtime. Their
definition: no visible snow. Which is precisely what I see -- or don't
see -- out my window right this moment. So hurry and take advantage of some
Springtime specials. For example, if you email the Future of Freedom
Foundation fff@fff.org (Subject Line: Free Offer) you will receive a 3-month
free email subscription to Freedom Daily. And there is still time to enter
the ifeminist draw for a piece of 19th century
history.<http://www.ifeminists.com/interaction/contest/index.html>

      Sunni
<http://www.ifeminists.com/interaction/forum/feminism0204c/messages/41926804
1.html> moderated her first solo ifeminist chat room last Sunday and has
announced next Sunday's chat topic: is Ayn Rand a feminist? Stop by
<http://www.ifeminists.com/interaction/chat> this Sunday at 9:00 p.m. EST.
It is free, it is easy.

I am pleased to host(ess) our first editorial from Marc Angelucci
entitled "Males Get Longer Sentences than Females for Same Crime"
<http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2002/0423a.html> and my
FOXNews column "Your Intellectual Bill of Rights."
<http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2002/0423.html> Enjoy!

Congratulations to long-time ifeminist, LibertyBelle, who has opened a
new store to promote her cause "Donth8" <http://www.donth8.com> (Don't
Hate). The logo is worth checking out.

Meanwhile, our on-the-scene ifeminist Dianna Thompson reports,
"Seventy-five Paternity Fraud victims and their families flooded the
chambers of the California State Assembly's Judiciary Committee on Tuesday,
April 16, 2002 to plead for passage of AB 2240, the "California Paternity
Justice Act of 2002. The victims came from hundreds of miles around to voice
their outrage over the state of California's complicity in a fraud which
victimizes hundreds of thousands of Americans each year. In particularly
moving testimony, the young daughter of a now-impoverished paternity fraud
victim asked the committee to pass the bill which would allow her and her
family to get their lives back. Despite some lengthy questioning from a
couple of the Assembly members, the bill emerged from the hearing alive and
well. The committee decided it needed more time to study the bill, and
postponed the hearing for two weeks."

Now ... onto the main event....
