Hello ifeminists:
MERRY CHRISTMAS! The weather up here has obliged with four or five
inches of soft snow so the Holidays are white, I have lit the fireplace,
Brad has stacked movies to screen and -- after sending out the
InsiderUpdate -- this computer is being turned off.
There were nine winners in the ifeminists.com book draw: CyberSenei,
Diane B., Foxfire, AxiomAttic, Karen P., Chris, IPR, Mary Ellen, and Sally.
Congratulations! After a break for the holidays, more prizes are planned.
The chat room will also take a break and reconvene next year.
2002 will bring many news things to ifeminists.com. For example, I
have just opened two ifeminist stores at
<http://www.cafepress.com/ifeminists> and
<http://www.cafepress.com/mydaughter>. T-shirts, mugs, tote bags...if you
are late in sending a holiday present, we will include a free "Sorry I'm
late" plush toy with your shipped order. So far the available slogans are
"MY Daughter Doesn't Need Affirmative Action" and "Real Women Don't Need
Big Brother." Bumper stickers with these slogan can be downloaded for free
from our activism center <http://www.ifeminists.com/interaction/activism/>
The editorial and guest editorial (by James Hanback) this week are
both in the Holiday spirit so be sure to check them out on our front page
<http://www.ifeminists.com/>
And, now, before I shut everything down for the day, I want to send
all of you a card of appreciation
<http://all4love.net/postcards/purestarcard.cgi> from our household to yours.
Onto the main event...

No tax funding for forced abortions!
----------
Concerned Women of America
February 1, 2002
Congress appropriated up to $34 million for the United
Nations Population Fund but President Bush is not
legally obliged to give them even one cent. UNFPA has
participated in human rights abuses in many countries,
e.g. support of China's coercive "one-child" that
includes forced abortion. Protest to Bush from this
site.

The real goal of feminism: transforming society
----------
The Republican
by Antonia Feitz
"Modern [gender] feminists are not seeking equal rights for
women. They want to transform society, and that's no
conspiracy theory because they freely admit it." They
are doing it, among other means, by imposing radical
'equalizing' in society, with no respect for individual
desires or cultural traditions, via UN treaties.
