Hello ifeminists:
Sunday is Mother's Day and an occasion for the co-ordinated pro-gun
rights rallies being staged across the U.S. by Second Amendment Sisters
and Armed Informed Mothers. Check out the InsiderUpdate listing at the end
under Online Discussions to access information on a rally near you.
Those of you who are intrigued by the book review of "Viable Values,"
by Tara Smith, should first try to order the Randian tome from Laissez Faire
Books, which currently offers 15% off its entire stock. The new 100% off
(a/k/a/ free) ifeminist editorial entitled "America's Re-education Camps"
is posted! <http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2001/0508.html>
There is apparently truth to the rumor that civil servants in San
Francisco who wish to avail themselves of a tax-paid sex change operation
must secure a note from their doctor confirming that they were born into
the "wrong" gender. I want a note stating that I was born into the wrong
tax bracket. Alas there is no truth to the rumor that Tracy Quan, authoress
of "Diary of a Manhattan Call Girl: A Nancy Chan Novel," is moving to the
Bronx to write a sequel. The woman is unwilling to suffer for her art.
Well, I do suffer for my art. And now it is your turn.
Onto the main event.
