Hello ifeminists:
I am grateful to every one of you who responded to my appeal
for donations to keep ifeminists.com running and feisty. Your
generosity is *much* appreciated. These are difficult times
economically and I will not downplay the financial problems we're
experiencing ... so requests for donations will continue, I'm afraid.
(See info below my sigline.)
Meanwhile, we are also experiencing record "hit rates," increased
media attention, and impact. I guess such apparent dichotomies are
just part of life.
The editorials for this week have been posted: my
FOXNews/ifeminists column entitled "Rights and Responsibilities"
<http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2002/1119.html>;
Glenn
Sacks' latest entitled "Why Men Don't Go To College"
<http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2002/1119a.html>;
and, Tresa McBee's value contribution "Girls Will be Boys"
<http://www.ifeminists.com/introduction/editorials/2002/1119b.html>.
Thanks Glenn, thanks Tresa. And I hope you all enjoy!
For those who are interested, I have posted the transcript from
my recent speech at LibertyFest on my homepage
<http://www.zetetics.com/mac/> and I am pleased to announce that
columnist Karen De Coster (also ifeminist of the month
<http://www.ifeminists.com>) has accepted my challenge to mud wrestle
for the title "Queen of Political Incorrectness." See my blog and
hers <http://www.karendecoster.com/> for details. I am trying to
persuade the Henry Hazlitt Foundation (our umbrella organization) to
act as a bookie in taking bets on our "greasing down" so as to raise
some real money for ifeminists.com. Bet generously, bet often. It is
in a good cause. Namely, I *want* that title.
Now ... onto the main event ...
