17. In 1940, I made a complete investigation of Mrs. Roosevelt's
earnings and obtained precise figures from agents and companies
which employed her, including the sums she received from her lectures
and radio performances. A complete list of her newspaper columns,
her magazine and book publications, her lectures and radio programs
revealed a minimum income in seven and one-half years of $1,200,000.
An examination of her activities since indicates that the total
sum over the 15-year period is not less than $3,000,000.
